Sue Austin – The Woman Who Went Diving In Her Wheelchair

Artist Sue Austin became a wheelchair user after an illness. After experiencing negative reactions from others she decided to create visual images of her own positive journey with a disability. Her ambitious dive in Egypt’s Red Sea in a specially adapted wheelchair is an experience others can now share in her unique art installation at the Midlands Arts Centre in Birmingham.

Sue also has a pilots license and at the end of the video we see her fly. Its not an airplane. Watch and see.
