A spinal injury at 17 didn’t stop Claire Freeman achieving her dreams of completing a design degree, Masters and now PhD in the powerchair.

The injury informs many of her thoughts and ideas but by no means defines her as an individual, it simply adds another rich layer to the tapestry of her peculiar life.

She goes through her own divorce and unfortunately the new injury caused by a screw pushed her into depression.

Again she has to lift herself up and accept her injury and life in a wheel chair.
